2025 Day-Of Walk Information

Online registration will close Thursday, September 11th at 12:00 p.m. (Online donations will remain open)

Day-of registration will be available for $25!

Kids under 17 and under are free.

Please note that dogs are not allowed at this venue.

Are You Walk Ready?

 

Schedule:

9:00 a.m. - Check-In

  • Participants will enter through Belfor Gate off Auburn Road.
  • Pre-registered individuals can check-in and receive their t-shirt
  • Still need to register? Day-of registration will be available for $25 for adults, kids 17 and under are free! (Online registration closes Thursday, September 11th at 12:00 p.m.)
  • Visit all the sponsor tables present and fill out your Event Day Passport to receive a prize! Place your completed passport in the bin on stage to be entered to win a prize. The winner will be announced during the program, which starts at 10:00 a.m.
  • If you are a Veteran, stop by the Veteran table to learn more about available services!

If you have Hero Signs from previous walks, please feel free to bring them! Our volunteers can place them along the route. Signs must be brought by 9:30 a.m.

 

10:00 a.m. - Program

  • Make your way to the the pitchers mound on the baseball field before the program starts at 10:00 am.
  • Make sure to stop at the wristband table, located on the field, to grab a Parkinson Hero wristband for a special piece of the program.

 

10:30 a.m. - Walk Begins

  • Click HERE for the walk route.
  • Remember, there is no expectation to walk the route! Feel free to stay behind and Walk on the warning track of the field, visit vendor tables, connect with others, and join us for lunch.
  • The walk is on an outdoor paved path, but it can get buggy - we suggest wearing bug spray, sunscreen, and wearing hats.  There are no porta johns on the route.  Restrooms are available on the concourse of the stadium.  Take your time - the walk is not a race nor it is timed.

 

Following the Walk - return to the concourse for lunch and socializing

  • We will have complimentary ballpark food available. Please help yourself to one hot dog and one bag of chips per participant. Unlimited soft drinks and water will be available.

 

1:00 p.m. - Event Concludes

  • Following lunch, we invite you to visit one of the local restaurants in Downtown Utica. For more information click here!

 

Teams that raise over $5,000 will earn a VIP tent and some complimentary, light snacks provided by MPF.  Tents will be located on the field and are approximately 10 feet x 10 feet in size.  Several folding chairs will also be placed under the tent for your guests.  As we near the Walk date, we will update this section with the names of team that have raised $5,000 or more.  In 2024, 12 teams earned a VIP tent.  

 

Inclement Weather:

In the case of severe weather, we will update the Walk homepage and Facebook on or before the morning of the event in case of cancellation. The Walk is a rain or shine event and will only be delayed/cancelled for severe weather.
