Autumn joined our family in 2005. Her life began as a kitten born to a feral mom in Albany. With help from a local rescue organization, both mom and her little kitten were captured in Havahart traps and brought to the vet's office for exams. Both were spayed and vaccinated. All of the foster homes were full so I was told that the little kitten would have to be released back to the area where she was captured. My heart broke. I left a voicemail for my husband to tell him that when he returned home from work, a new, temporary addition would be in our house, a kitten. We already had a dog and adding a feral kitten to the mix wasn't a great idea. Well, the rest is history. We named her Autumn because she came to our house on the first day of fall.
