I'm a mother of 5. My first I had post partum HELLP syndrome. I was readmitted 3 days after he was born and spent a week in the hospital. My second I was in the ER for a hypertensive crisis. Luckily meds brought my blood pressure back down and it stayed controlled. My third was an induction before 39 weeks due to high blood pressure. A week later I was readmitted for post partum preeclampsia. My fourth I was readmitted 3 days after discharge with post partum HELLP. My fifth was a planned c-section and she got to stay in the hospital with me for my post partum preeclampsia. This is my story. And why it's so important to me. Every post partum journey is difficult. Every post partum is rough. Having to struggle and suffer through preeclampsia or HELLP shouldn't be anyone's story.

Hope for Her.
Hope for my daughters that they never have to experience the fear I did. That they won't be separated from their babies hours or days after giving birth.
Hope that women won't lose their babies to preeclampsia and HELLP.
Hope that women will be heard.
Hope that improvement in maternal medicine will keep anyone from suffering preeclampsia, eclampsia, or HELLP.
That's why I walk. I walk for Hope for Her.
