Why I Walk

I am walking at the Promise Walk for Preeclampsia in memory of sweet Lincoln and in honor of my best friend, Alexis. This walk is deeply personal to me, as I’ve witnessed the heartbreaking impact preeclampsia can have. Lincoln will always hold such a special place in my heart, and I walk to honor his memory and the strength of those who loved him. I also want to raise awareness about how serious and unpredictable this condition is, and remind women of the importance of listening to their bodies during pregnancy. No concern is too small, and every mother deserves to feel empowered to speak up and advocate for herself. By walking, I hope to honor those we’ve lost, support those still fighting, and push for a future where preeclampsia no longer threatens moms and their babies.
