Why I Walk

I am walking with my one year old son as survivors of HELLP syndrome and severe preeclampsia. I had a very healthy pregnancy until I started having symptoms that I though were normal. I ended up in the ER for what I thought was heartburn which ended up being my liver failing. I needed an emergency c section under general anesthesia and also had a severe hemorrhage needing blood transfusions. I am walking to raise awareness. My son and I are so extremely lucky because there are so many mom's and babies who don't survive. I want to raise awareness and find a cure.
