I walk because I am a 2x survivor of preeclampsia. My first son was born prematurely at 35 weeks due to preeclampsia. He's now a thriving wild toddler. This past pregnancy I thought I was in the clear but the second I came home my blood pressures began to rise. I didn't want to risk anything getting worse so I went back to L&D for treatment right away. It's scary not to be in control of your own body. That's why I walk to help fund research for prevention and treatment for this cause!
