Why We Walk
Preeclampsia is one of the leading causes of premature birth and affects as many as 300,000 mothers and babies in the United States each year. That means 76,000 mothers and 500,000 babies lose their lives worldwide to this devastating disease annually.
The RI Promise Walk team supports the Preeclampsia Foundation's work in research, support, and awareness around this debilitating disease. We hope you'll consider registering to walk this fall, creating a team, donating to the cause, or helping us to spread the word.
