Hi- My name is Ellory. I'm the big brother to Kenna Joy. Kenna Joy was diagnosed with an extra- gonadal germ cell tumor in 2020. Our family was a bit overwhelmed with this diagnosis, as we were still unpacking from a move. For us (my other two sisters and me) it meant Kenna Joy and my mom had to go to Austin to stay one week at the hospital and then drive back and forth the other 3 weeks of that month. This was right before when COVID happened, so our cancer journey was different from others. To start having an unknown disease around the world was hard, and then if you add in the fact that you are immune compromised it becomes very hard! B.I.G. LOVE  did for us just what was in their name says-  they showed BIG LOVE!!! They helped Kenna Joy through CANCER and helped ease the process for us. Later when Kenna Joy was relapsed they were there.  B.I.G. LOVE has helped us through many ways like bringing my sister a “surprise” each week in the hospital that brought a huge smile and always had a favorite snack for her! B.I.G. LOVE  has made it possible for us to do many great things. They also have shown us that even through the trials of cancer that there can still be joy!
