The Short Story...

Ella was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2017. After ringing the bell on October 24, 2019, she enjoyed three glorious years in the realm of being cancer free! Unfortunately, relapse came knocking in July 2023. She cleared that hurdle, and once again relapsed in June 2024. She is currently cancer free in 2025; clear scans at the end of October, WOOHOO!

Ella has experienced more in the last 8 years than most people will in a lifetime (thankfully)... chemotherapy, radiation, bone marrow transplants, blood transfusions, piles of pills and bags of fluids, fevers, weakness, and too many hospital stays to count. Through it all, she remains strong, mature, and just amazing!

Her journey has required hundreds of trip to the Texas Medical Center in Houston for treatment by the oncology team at Texas Children's Hospital. B.I.G. Love has been stepping up to support children and families for years, providing toys, blankets, emotional support, meals, etc. Just an amazing all around group that is doing incredible things.
