Thank you for visiting our team page! On Saturday, April 5th, our team will join friends and neighbors on a fleet of stationary bikes or playing Pickleball games as part of the Attleboro Norton YMCA's 2025 Spinathon!
A little about our team "The Shakers": started by one of our Parkinson's participants, our team represents our neuro-wellness program at the Attleboro Norton YMCA. Our program offers a variety of exercise classes and support groups for those with neurological diseases, including Parkinson's disease. Through fundraising we are able to offer these program for free for members and a minimal charge for non-members.
Each year, the Spinathon and Pickleballathon help support many of the Y's community initiatives - including specialized programming for those facing chronic disease, subsidized memberships for neighbors in need, drowning prevention initiatives, and free meals for seniors facing food insecurity and isolation.
The Spinathon and Pickleballathon also support the Y's camp scholarship program. By offering financial assistance, the Y ensures that every child in our community has access to the life-changing experience of a Camp Finberg summer.
