Join the Salt Lake City Strides 4 CMV 5K on Saturday, June 28th 2025

Help us prevent the next case of cCMV!

Strides 4 CMV is the National CMV Foundation’s worldwide 5K event. We walk, run, and roll together because too many families are blindsided by congenital CMV—a common, serious, and largely unknown virus that threatens the health of babies. By participating, we’re taking action to raise awareness, fund prevention, and stand with families already affected.

Congenital CMV (cCMV) is common: 1 in 200 babies is born with it.  It’s serious: every day, over 10 babies will develop lifelong disabilities like hearing or vision loss, cerebral palsy, or developmental delays.   It’s life-changing: CMV can cause epilepsy, microcephaly, or even death.   And, it’s shockingly unknown: 91% of expecting mothers have never heard of it.

The National CMV Foundation is working hard to change this, but they can’t do it alone.  Here’s how you can help:

• Donate: Every dollar brings us closer to prevention, education, and a cure. 

• Participate: In the Strides 4 CMV Salt Lake City event, details below.

Strides 4 CMV - Salt Lake City

Where: Meet at Redeemer Lutheran Church. 1955 Stratford Ave S. Salt Lake City UT 84106

We will run, walk, roll, and stroll down Parley's Trail to Sugar House Park and back.  Approximately 3.14 up to 4 miles. 

When: Registration opens at 8 and we will start at 8:30. 

Join us for refreshments afterwards!
