Twenty-three years ago, in October 2002, I ran the Twin Cities Marathon for the second time (my first was in 2001). A few weeks later, I ran a 20K in the Edmond Fitzgerald Ultra Marathon in Duluth, MN with a team of runners. Just a few weeks after the 20K, in November 2002, I was in a motor vehicle accident and sustained a spinal cord injury that resulted in quadriplegia, with paralysis from the chest down.
Working with Unite to Fight Paralysis (U2FP), I will be back on that same Twin Cities Marathon course on October 5, 2025, this time on my handcycle, and with a goal to beat my running time of 3 hours, 49 minutes!!
I’m thrilled to be participating in the marathon and raising funds supporting Unite 2 Fight Paralysis! I’m passionate about this cause and need your help! Every donation—big or small—helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.
Here's how you can help:
- Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small!
- Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!
Thank you for standing by me in this effort. Your support means the world to me!
