In a few sentences, describe your connection to U2FP, why you chose to run in support of U2FP, and whether you have a personal connection to spinal cord injury and paralysis:
A few months after my spinal cord injury in October 2023 I reached out to Quinn Brett on social media wanting to get involved in the spinal cord injury (SCI) community. A few months later I attended my very first U2FP symposium in Atlanta GA. Since then I’ve been involved in monthy volunteer meetings coordinating U2FP’s awareness efforts and fundraising. What makes this marathon particularly special for me is that October 5th 2025 will be my 2 year accident anniversary - often called one’s “life day” (the day someone nearly died and is re-born in a new life).

Yes

What do you crave after a long run?
I don’t run… but after a long hand cycle ride I do enjoy a Sweet Pork Quesadilla with Hobenero sauace, Queso, and a large Mint Limeaid from Cafe Rio (a growing fast casual mexican chain started in Utah).

Do you listen to anything when you train or race? If yes, what?
Not usually - I prefer to allow my mind to process expereinces but sometimes I'm known to sing to myself Country Roads...

What are you most excited and/or nervous about for the marathon?
I’m most excited to be representing those with spinal cord injuries across the USA and advocating for functional recovery progress

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Sit Skiing, Kayaking, riding adaptive bikes, spending quality time with friends, and playing tabletop games (especially Catan & Exploading Kittens)!
