EVENT DAY FAQ
WHERE SHOULD I PARK WHEN I ARRIVE?
Several parking options are available:

Coned-off grass lot near the rear entrance (access via Huizen Ave. SW off Burton)

Street parking on Belfield St. NW and Banner Dr. NW

Neighboring apartment building lots
Staff and Volunteers will be at the DHMIN entrance to help direct parking
NOTE: We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before the 10:00 AM start time to allow time for parking, check-in and getting settled before the event begins.
WILL PARKING SPOTS WITHIN DAVID'S HOUSE CAMPUS BE AVAILABLE?
A small number of accessible parking spaces are reserved within the David’s House campus for individuals with limited mobility. We kindly ask that these spots be used only by those who need them. For the safety of all participants, the majority of the David's House campus will be closed to regular traffic during the event.
WHAT HAPPENS AT CHECK-IN?
Head over to the Administration Building and let us know you have arrived. You will get a name tag, pick up your T-shirt (if you haven't already), drop off donations, and enjoy refreshments at the coffee/snack tent. Then head over to the large event to join the celebration.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE HAPPENING THIS YEAR?
We will have time for fellowship, light snacks, a short walk around our neighborhood, and lawn games. Due to Saturday’s forecast for cooler weather, we will not be having the dunk tank this year. Instead, get ready for a new fun activity: Pie in the Face! You can throw a pie at one of our staff members for $10 per pie.
Payment methods accepted are cash, check, or Venmo. All proceeds from this activity benefit DHMIN.
CAN I PICK UP MY SHIRT BEFORE THE EVENT?
You can pick up your shirt at David's House Administration Building (2251 Hope Grove, Wyoming) on Thursday or Friday, September 4th and 5th, between 8 AM and 4 PM. If you’re unable to make it on those days, shirts will also be available for pick-up on the morning of the event.
WHEN ARE DONATIONS DUE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES?
Top resident and non-resident fundraisers will be recognized, and participants who raise $500-$999 or $1000+ will be entered into prize drawings! All offline donations must be submitted by Friday, September 5 at 4:00 PM in order to qualify for prizes.
All prizes will be distributed toward the end of the event. If you can’t attend, prize winners will be contacted afterward to arrange delivery or pick-up.
WHAT IF IT RAINS ON EVENT DAY?
The event will proceed even if it rains, and most activities can be moved under our large event tent. While the tent provides some shelter, it may not fully protect against all weather conditions, so please plan accordingly and dress for the weather. However, if there is a threat of imminent thunderstorms, we will cancel the event for safety reasons.
Any weather-related updates will be posted the morning of the event on our official Facebook and Instagram pages, so please check there before heading out.

REGISTRATION FAQ
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Step 1: Click the Register for this Event link on the event site and select if you will participate virtually or in person.
Step 2: Choose to register as an individual or join/start a team (all DHMIN residents have teams; to support a loved one, search for their team name).
Step 3: Complete the registration form, review your details, and click Complete Registration. Then, create or log in to your account to set up and manage your personal fundraising page.

WHAT IS THE EVENT FEE?
Attendance at our Walk/Ride/Run is free, but we kindly suggest a minimum donation or fundraising goal of $50 per person.
DO I HAVE TO WALK/RIDE/RUN TO PARTICIPATE?
No, you don’t have to walk, ride, or run to participate! We encourage everyone to support David’s House by fundraising and staying active during August, but physical activity is not required. At the event, we’ll come together to celebrate with a group walk around the neighborhood and award prizes. There will also be games, snacks, music, and plenty of space to relax and socialize. We’d love for you to join us!
