The Walk for the Animals is the Capital Area Humane Society’s second largest fundraiser—and a beloved community tradition. On October 4, 2025, we’ll celebrate our 33rd annual Walk, bringing together more than 300 animal lovers and their dogs for a day filled with fun, purpose, and heart.
This family-friendly event features a 1-mile walk, pet contests, a doggy obstacle course, scavenger hunt, demonstrations, vendors, raffles, and more—all to raise funds for homeless pets who rely on CAHS for shelter, medical care, and love.
Our goal is to raise $100,000—and we can’t do it without your help.
