I first volunteered in JA Finance Park alongside several of my AllianceBernstein (AB) colleagues in March, 2022. The experience inspired me to deepen my involvement with the organization, and I joined JA's Associate Board in August 2023 to further support their mission of empowering students through financial education.

To me, volunteering with JA is one of the most impactful ways to increase economic mobility and help students learn healthy financial habits. Being part of AB, I have the privilege of working with many financially savvy people, who I get to learn from.  So when I volunteer with JA, I mentor students from all walks of life (public schools, private schools and homeschool co-ops) and pass the financial wisdom I have gathered over the years. The sense of fulfillment that comes from making a positive difference in someone's life and receiving their gratitude is unparalleled and extends beyond the workplace. 

JA programs reach over 30,000 students every year, ensuring students learn financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship skills acting as a game changer when it comes to increasing economic mobility. So, to be a game changer in a kid’s life and be remembered as a catalyst who helped them shine, I’m helping JA raise $750. Our efforts will add to JA’s effort of reaching over 36,000 students this year.
