Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been our flagship recognition program, honoring exceptional Club members for their exemplary leadership, academic success, and commitment to making positive life choices. By cultivating character and leadership in the youth we serve, the Youth of the Year program helps them unmask their dreams and empowers them to pursue Great Futures.

This distinguished event unites esteemed friends and partners of Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio to celebrate the inspiring journeys of our Youth of the Year finalists—remarkable young adults who have triumphed over immense challenges and embody integrity and resilience. Following a rigorous selection process involving interviews, essays, and presentations, our panel of judges will announce the recipient of the coveted Youth of the Year title at our gala.

Your support of this event supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio’s mission to inspire youth, especially those who need us most, to achieve their full potential in a positive environment. Together, we can all play a part in our youths’ stories and help them on their paths towards Great Futures.

We are also privileged to welcome this year’s honored guest, Boys & Girls Clubs Alum Seymour Battle, Senior Vice President of Communications, Public Relations, and Engagement at Valero Energy. Seymour is a dedicated volunteer and community leader, serving on numerous boards and committees, including the San Antonio Food Bank, KLRN/PBS, United Way of San Antonio & Bexar County, the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of San Antonio, San Antonio Sports, and the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. In recognition of his unwavering support for youth empowerment and community advancement, Seymour will be honored as our Champion for Youth.
