I’m thrilled to be participating in the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon with Team One Step!
Over the past year and a half, I've reconnected with my love of running. In high school, running was the thing I did to stay in shape for volleyball and basketball. In college, I met some of my very best friends on the track and cross country teams. Post-college, I explored longer distances and ran marathons, traveling for races to stay in touch with friends in other cities and to see new places. But as life progressed, I started running less and less. Years later, now a mom to an energetic three year old, I find it more and more important to model setting goals, chasing adventure, and doing all we can to show support and care for others. Running has given a lot back to me this year, and now I want to do what I can to use it to help others, particualrly children!
Team One Step supports Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Camp One Step's programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope. They are an invaluable resource and help to create vibrant opportunities for children. Especially now as a mom, it brings me immense gratification to know an organization like this is actively seeking ways to bring happiness, support, strength, and hope to hundreds of children. I’m passionate about this cause and need your help!
Every donation—big or small—helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause. Please help me get to the finish line!
Here's how you can help:
