Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Shannon Farrow and I am a senior at Purdue University. I'm excited to announce that I’m taking on the Chicago Marathon this year, and I’m running every mile with Team One Step to support kids with cancer. Team One Step is part of Camp One Step, which organizes different experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer (more information on Camp One Step below). After volunteering at multiple Chicago Marathons, I’m beyond excited to finally run in this year’s race—supporting an incredible cause and sharing the experience with some of my closest friends and former cross-country teammates. I'm raising money for Camp One Step!

I’m thrilled to be participating in the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon with Team One Step! I’m passionate about this cause and need your help! Team One Step supports Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. Camp One Step Programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope.

Every donation—big or small—makes a difference in helping me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.
