Running for the Magic of Childhood
I am running the 2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon with Team One Step. Since I started running in 2020 to explore my surroundings, it has become a passion I share with my partner, Kelsey, and my family. This will be my second World Marathon Major, and I am using this challenge to support a cause that aligns with my long-standing commitment to pediatric care.
The Mission: Reclaiming Childhood
A pediatric cancer diagnosis often brings a child’s world to a screeching halt, replacing play and exploration with hospital appointments. Camp One Step refuses to let cancer define childhood. They provide 11 free in-person and digital camps where children (ages 0–19) can stop being "patients" and start being campers again.
As a monthly supporter of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in the UK, I have seen firsthand how vital it is to provide medically-supported environments where kids can just be kids. Camp One Step carries this mission forward by offering these life-changing experiences at no cost to families.
My Goal: $3,000
I have set a fundraising goal of $3,000 for this marathon. This is more than just a number:

$1,500 covers the full cost to send one child with cancer to camp.

$3,000 will provide two children with a week of adventure, connection, and joy away from the hospital.
