I have been inspired by Bernie and many friends crushing their marathons that I decided to run my first marathon this year! There is no better way to capstone my time in Chicago than running the iconic Chicago marathon. 

I am raising money for Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services. This amazing organization operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer, many of them Lurie patients! One of my favorite parts about being a pediatric resident at Lurie is getting to see the joy and creativity that kids have despite the often traumatic and sad diagnoses. Camp One Step Programs facilitate just that - aiming to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope. Every donation—big or small—helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.
