U2FP thinks people with an SCI should be at the center of the treatment and research process. We're not waiting for permission, but taking action. And it's working. Our small but smart grassroots effort is having a huge return on investment for the SCI community.
Consider a few of our accomplishments:
Restored $33M to the federal Spinal Cord Injury Research Program (SCIRP). SCIRP was eliminated by Congress last year. U2FP organized and led a national advocacy strategy with other SCI organizations. After a year of coordinated efforts, Congress restored funding for SCIRP at $33M/year just over a month ago!
Passed over $40M in state legislation over the past eight years that is overseen by the SCI community and expert scientists.
Placed 43 individuals with a spinal cord injury into 25 SCI research labs as lived-experience consultants.

Cedar Wright, climber filmmaker, writer, paragliding pilot and god among men :) is our special guest speaker. He and his wife have both experienced Spinal Cord Injuries.
Money raised from ticket sales and auction items will go directly to Unite 2 Fight Paralysis’ work to accelerate treatments and functional recovery research for folks living with a spinal cord injury (SCI).
