After two easy pregnancies and healthy babies, we we naive in thinking that the third time would be the same and we'd bring home a healthy baby to complete our family. To say we were blinded-sided when we lost our third pregnancy at 10 weeks is an understatement. Beyond heartbreak and devastation, the next year was so difficult in the fact that we lost a baby who we already loved and had so many dreams and plans for, but also extra hard as society in general tends to diminsh pregnancy loss, especially early on. For a year, we navigated our grief on our own, but felt a renwal of understanding and hope we when we found No Foot Too Small (NFTS). The community and support we found validated our loss, our feelings, and provided so much support, especially during our pregnancy after loss with our rainbow baby, which we are so grateful for as pregnancy after loss comes with a lot of added fear and stress. Since finding NFTS, we were not only given a way to keep Kody's memory alive, but we were given so many ways to celebrate them as well, which is honestly not anything I thought we'd do until we found this community.
