By registering to volunteer, you are helping to make life better for individuals with Parkinson's and their care partners and families throughout Michigan.

With so many ways to get involved, there truly is a volunteer role for everyone. Individuals, friends and family, school groups, and corporate teams are all welcome!

• Volunteering with a group? Please have each person sign up individually so we can collect contact information. During registration, you will be able to include if there is a group or family members you would like to volunteer with.
   
• Teenagers and children are welcome to volunteer.  High school students participating as part of a student group do not need to be accompanied by an adult.  Otherwise, children must be volunteering on-site with an adult. 
   
• Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and vest the day of the walk. Please plan to wear both the day of.  Layers are recommended as the weather can change as the day goes along.

• 7:15 – 8:30 a.m. – Volunteer/Sponsor Check-In (checks in volunteers and sponsors and directs them to their assigned location/position)
  
   
• 7:15 – 9:00 a.m. – Venue Set-Up (tents, tables, signage)
  
   
• 7:15 – 9:00 a.m. – Walk Route Set-Up (placing the signage on the walk route)
  
   
• 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. – Parking Attendant (monitoring handicap spots, troubleshooting parking issues, direct guests where to park)
  
   
• 8:00 – 10:00 a.m. – VIP Tent/Table Set-Up (set up signage, food, beverages, paper supplies; monitor for additional supplies needed)
  
   
• 8:00 – 10:15 a.m. – Kids Corner (set up craft and supplies, explain and oversee craft activity
  
   
• 8:00 – 10:30 a.m. – Registration – seated role – (check-in guests, collect donations, pass out wristbands)
  
   
• 8:00 – 10:30 a.m. – T-Shirt Runner (delivers t-shirts to registration volunteers)
  
   
• 8:00 – 10:30 a.m. – Incentives Table (distribute incentive gifts to guests)
  
   
• 8:15 – 10:30 a.m. – Food and Beverage Set-Up (set up food and beverages, monitor tables to ensure that items are replenished and area is tidy)
  
   
• 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. – Field Usher – Metro Detroit Only – (moving guests from the back of the field to the front)
  
   
• 9:30 – 12:00 p.m. – Route Monitor (monitors walkers on route, distribute water, call for assistance)
  
   
• 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Clean Up (tents, tables, chairs, collect signage, load vehicles)
