I am running a 5K Disneyland race in honor of my dear friend, Patricia. My goal is to raise $650 for cancer research in her memory.
Patricia was one of the most faith-filled people I have ever known, and she carried an unwavering love for Disney in her heart. When she lost her courageous battle with cancer, the world lost a bright light. During my first Disney half marathon, I could feel her presence with me every step of the way.
Someone once told me that when you see a feather, it’s a sign from an angel above. Throughout that race, I kept finding feathers—always at the moments when I needed encouragement most. I knew those were Patricia’s signs, reminding me that she was with me, cheering me on.
It is an honor to run this race in her name. By contributing to my $650 fundraising goal, you will not only support vital cancer research but also help me celebrate Patricia’s life, faith, and love for Disney.
