Why I run for Team Fired Up

I am requesting assistance in reaching my fundraising goals for Dragon Master Foundation.  This culminates in my participation in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Dopey Challenge - consisting of four races (5K, 10k, half marathon, and marathon) over four days.  The funds go to supporting improved availability of cancer research data in an effort to identify more promising treatments and improve outcomes for patients.

Dragon Master Foundation is focused on funding an open access database that cancer researchers can use via the internet. It takes advantage of cloud computing, both from a storage and a computational aspect. Researchers are able to access the data & do their work in the cloud without having to download the petabytes of data that they would need to do genomic work.  This effort provides better tracking of long term outcomes for patients.
