I ran for this great cause in 2024 and was hooked! I was the 3rd or 4th largest fundraiser and raised almost $3000.

I'd like to beat that in 2026! I have/ had some very generous folks on my team, so please join us..

But why do I run for Dragon Masters/ Team Fired up?

Marr Snyder and my continuing effort to do right by him. Marr is/ was one of my best friends and the best storyteller I have ever known. We lost him to Bile Duct Cancer in December 2012, a day before my birthday,

On March 7th 2011, after an interesting period of medical evaluations and U.S. Army (I was an active duty Lieutenant Colonel at the time) approvals, I underwent a procedure where I almost, but not quite, donated half my liver to him. After I was opened up, my surgoen discovered a minor, managable problem that aborted the live liver transplant. I did everything I possibly could to help my friend, but not beig able to proceed has weighed on my conscience ever since.

The Dragon Masters project allows me to help make sure that, eventually, others wont have to go through what Marr went through.

AND!!!! This will be my last hurrah. I will be 60 years old in December. I have been a competitive runner, marathoner, ultramarathoner, Dopey Challenger since the fall of 1980.

This will be my last one.

So, please help me get to my goal so I can run this last one for my friend!
