I’m running as part of Team Fired Up to support their mission to streamline cancer research—because for too many of us, cancer is personal.

In January 2022, I lost my mom to an aggressive cancer. It changed everything. I’ve seen far too many friends and family members impacted by this disease. Some are still fighting, some are survivors, and some, like my mom, are deeply missed.

I’m running in memory of my mom and in honor of everyone who has faced cancer with courage. Team Fired Up is working to accelerate the pace of cancer research, so that someday, fewer people will have to say goodbye too soon. Every mile I run, and every dollar raised, brings us closer to better treatments—and hopefully, one day, a cure.
