I was matched with Rigby, my mobility service dog, in February 2026 after almost a 4 year wait. He has been life changing. He's an incredible partner and I feel so lucky to have him. Canine Companions provided me with my dog free of charge. They gave me a place to stay during training, volunteers provided lunch, and gave me dog training skills so that I can be a successful handler. They also provide ongoing support if I need help.
Canine Companions provides dogs to children and adults with disabilities for mobility and hearing, plus veterans with PTSD. They also provide amazing facility dogs who work in places like hospitals supporting kids undergoing procedures.
