Small paws. BIG personality. Zero cabinet security.
Bella’s journey to her forever home began in late November 2023, when she was discovered tucked beneath a trampoline — small, scrappy, and very much in need of a family. After every attempt to find her original owners came up empty, a simple text arrived from a coworker in early December: “Looking for a home.”
But the truth is, Bella had already found one. Dave and Darla Bernstein didn’t stand a chance; their hearts were hers long before she ever made it to the Kitsap Humane Society. They named her Bella Felina, a fitting title for such a beautiful little feline.
At just 6 pounds, Bella joined a household already ruled by Frank, a dignified 12-year-old Lilac Siamese, and Morgan, a 5-year-old black mixed-breed pup. Despite being the smallest, she wasted no time establishing herself as the new commander-in-chief.
Cabinet doors? She opens them. Drawers? Also opens them. Safe storage? A distant memory. Every cabinet is, in fact, her cabinet.
Bella loves playing soccer with a tiny cloth ball.
She parades around with her favorite mouse toy, while squawking triumphantly for all to hear.
Now 2.5 years old and topping the scales at 11.5 lbs, Bella has eased out of her “kitten energy” era. Frank, now 14, is grateful for the shift, as he much prefers peaceful naps with her to the earlier days of unsolicited wrestling matches.
Bella has also curated a list of preferred lounging locations: curled beside her human’s legs on the recliner, sprawled on the heated bathroom floor, or draped across Mom’s heated desk mat, occasionally making surprise appearances on Zoom calls.
Her love languages include:
In return, she offers companionship, mischief, and the unmistakable presence of a cat who knows she was meant to be adored.
“I came. I purred. I conquered the cabinets.”
