NOFS Mission
The New Orleans Film Society (NOFS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting, nurturing, and amplifying the diverse voices of filmmakers. We aim to facilitate conversations through film and film-related programming that inspire, educate, challenge, and entertain our audiences.
This year's Celluloid Hero is Jay Duplass, the New Orleans native behind The Puffy Chair,Togetherness, and Transparent. The Lumière Award goes to Josh Penn, producer of the Louisiana-made, Oscar-nominated Beasts of the Southern Wild.
Expect live music from Nu Groove, dishes from Commander's Palace, Cochon, Atchafalaya, and Galatoire's, and a live auction, all in support of NOFS's year-round filmmaker programs.
VIP tickets ($500) include the 6 PM Patron Party, a seat at a table, a sit-down dinner, and the live auction. General Admission ($125) includes a seat in the GA section, light bites, and an open bar. Everyone is invited to the After Party at 10 PM.
