Welcome to my fundraising page! I will be running the TCS London Marathon to empower children diagnosed with cancer and their families. Cancer is personal for our family, so it is an honor to run in support of Camp One Step.

Our daughter Stella was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor at age 7 in July 2023. The tumor's removal was complicated by posterior fossa syndrome, which required her to completely relearn how to eat, drink, speak, and move. On her road to recovery, she received radiation and chemotherapy in fall 2023 and spring 2024. After missing second grade, Stella returned to school and completed third grade in summer 2025. As a fourth grader, she continues to do speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy after school three to four times per week. Stella is strong. She inspires our immediate family, her support team, friends, and everyone else she knows.

Team One Step supports Camp One Step by Children's Oncology Services, an organization that operates camps and other recreational and educational experiences for children who have been diagnosed with cancer. One Step Programs aim to cure the spirit by providing an environment of hope, strength, and empowerment. During the pandemic, Camp One Step pivoted to offer virtual camps so now they can serve more children than ever before- even in their hospital beds. 

Stella attended Camp One Step family camp with us in Summer 2024, Camp One Step sibling camp in Spring 2025, and Camp One Step full camp (on her own!) in Summer 2025. The staff and other participating families have been amazing, and Stella has had a fantastic time at every camp.
