I'm raising money for Texas 4000 For Cancer!

I’m thrilled to be participating in 2026 Team Fundraising, a fundraiser supporting Texas 4000 for Cancer! I’m passionate about this cause and need your help! Every donation, big or small, helps me reach my fundraising goal and directly impacts this important cause.

Cancer is a cause that is deeply personal to me. Like many people, I have had family members whose lives have been affected by cancer. Watching people you care about face something so difficult and unpredictable changes the way you see the world. It was one of the experiences that pushed me to start thinking about how I could contribute to improving healthcare and helping people facing serious illness.

That motivation started early. In high school, I focused my science fair research on cancer-related topics to better understand the biology of the disease and the scientific efforts to fight it. What started as a school project quickly became a genuine interest in the role research plays in developing better treatments and improving patient outcomes.

When I came to college, I wanted to continue that commitment. One of the first things I did was join a cancer research lab so I could contribute, however modestly, to the work to better understand this disease. Being involved in research has shown me both how complex cancer is and how much progress is possible when people dedicate themselves to solving these problems.

At the same time, I’ve also had the opportunity to work as an EMT. In that role, I’ve encountered many patients whose lives have been impacted by cancer—whether they were dealing with complications from treatment, struggling with the physical toll of illness, or simply facing the reality of living with the disease. Seeing those moments up close leaves an impression that stays with you. It reminds you that behind every statistic is a real person, a real family, and a real fight.

And if I’m being honest, it hurts. It hurts to see the people you love face it. It hurts to see patients fighting battles that feel unfair and overwhelming. That feeling is exactly why I ride.

I ride because I want to do something, anything, to push back against this disease. I ride for the families who have felt its impact, for the patients still fighting, and for the day when fewer people will have to hear the words “you have cancer.” Every mile is a reminder that we are not powerless. Together, through research, support, and awareness, we can fight back.

Texas 4000 represents that fight. In the summer of 2026, our team will ride over 4,000 miles from Austin to Anchorage to raise funds and awareness for cancer research, prevention, and patient support. It will be physically and mentally demanding, but every mile has meaning. Every mile represents hope, resilience, and a commitment to a future in which cancer no longer has the power it has today.

Your support helps make that possible. Every donation contributes directly to cancer research and patient support initiatives, and it means more than you know to have people stand behind this mission.

Here’s how you can help:

Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small! (unless it's less than 10 dollars, because for some reason the system won't accept a lower value :( sorry)

Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!

Thank you for standing by me in this effort. Your support means the world to me!
