Hi!!! My name is Annie Li, and I am a first-year student at UT Austin majoring in Public Health and Health and Society! Thank you for taking the time to check out my fundraising page.

My grandpa has been my number one supporter throughout my life. From driving me to swim practice every day, to teaching me how to ride a bike, to encouraging me in my academic and career pursuits, he has guided me through every stage of my life. When he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, my family was heartbroken, but he has remained so joyful and hopeful throughout the highs and lows of his diagnosis. I ride for him as he has influenced every aspect of my life, including my passion for biking and service, and Texas 4000 for Cancer provides me with the opportunity to share the wisdom, heart for service, and optimism I have gained from him with my future teammates, patients, doctors, and anyone I may encounter on this journey.

I ride to spread the hope and knowledge of those affected by cancer, whether directly or indirectly, to everyone around me. Although I may not understand the pain and suffering that those with cancer experience, I am honored to listen to their stories and carry their journeys with me on my ride. Cancer doesn't discriminate, and it affects anyone and everyone.
