Hi! My name is Pili, and I am so greatful to say I am biking to Alaska next summer! I am riding for all my family and friends, especially for those who have been affected by cancer in one way or another.
One thing I have noticed through watching my loved ones overcome these struggles is that when life gets rocky, a little bit of community support can always go a long way. I am eternally greatful for all my friends and family — especially my mom and sister — who always encourage and shaped me to be who I am, and who I know are always there for me. I hope to cultivate that same sense of community across the contenent, listen to people’s stories and try to bike 4,000 miles in their shoes.
My grandpa died of cancer before I was born, and although I never met him, Im riding for my dad who grieved him. They have since been reunited in heaven, where I know my dad is urging me to take on any adventure possible and to not be scared of life. I hope to be guided by his same balance of fearlessnes and compassion on the journey to Alaska.
I would really appreciate your support in getting there! We are fundraising money to help spread awarness and education about cancer around UT and across the country.
Here's how you can help:
- Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small!
- Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!
Thank you! Your support means so much.
To Alaskaaaaaa and back,
Pili
