Hi! My name is Ethan Beyer, and as a member of the 2026 Texas Team, I ride to honor one of my greatest mentors and friends, Coach Andy.
I first met Coach Andy when I was eight, tagging along with my mom to a local track workout. That afternoon then kickstarted a relationship where he has been one of the most influential people in my life, someone who would not only inspire my love for running, by my values, work ethic, and commitment to serving others.
Hosting races year round, he organized races and fundraisers for M.D. Anderson and the Snowdrop Foundation for cancer research. Beyond the track, he cheered us on at our meets across Texas and invited inspiring speakers to his youth camps, creating a community united by compassion and resilience.
Texas 4000’s mission to cultivate leaders and engage communities mirrors the way Coach Andy lived every day. He brought people together around a purpose larger than themselves, and now I am riding to carry on that legacy,
With every mile that we cover and every dollar that we raise, we spark crucial conversations and strengthen our community. We all have someone like Coach Andy in our lives, someone whose unwavering spirit fuels our community. I ride to honor them, and I ask you to join me in our mission to end cancer.
