Hi, I’m Drew Wessels, and I’m honored to be a part of the 2026 Texas 4000 team.
Next summer, me and 60 other UT students will bike over 4,500 miles from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska as part of the world’s longest annual charity bike ride. But this journey is about far more than distance—it’s about hope, action, and impact in the fight against cancer.
Throughout the ride, we’ll share life-saving cancer prevention resources, support those currently in the fight, and honor those we’ve lost. I’m working toward a $7,500 fundraising goal to support Texas 4000’s mission of funding cancer research, education, and patient services.
Cancer doesn’t wait. It doesn’t discriminate. And it doesn’t fight fair. But neither do we—we ride with purpose, with heart, and with the belief that small actions can lead to big change. This is where you come in.
Every dollar raised brings us closer to funding breakthroughs and giving families the support they deserve. If you’re able, we’d be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation—no matter the size—helps carry this movement forward and brings us closer to a world without cancer.
Here's how you can help:
- Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small!
- Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more!
Thank you for standing by me in this effort. Your support means the world to me!
