Hi everyone,

My name is Vaishu Marreddy, and thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page for the Texas 4000 Summer 2026 Team. Any donation—big or small—helps move this mission forward. If you aren’t able to give right now, sharing my page with your network is just as meaningful.

My parents raised me to believe in showing up—for our neighbors, for the causes we care about, and for people who don’t always have someone in their corner. Some of my earliest memories are of helping my dad sell homegrown plants to raise money for blind schools in India, and Meals on Wheels here in Central Texas so Austin families could have food on their tables. Every December, I’d help my mom organize her annual holiday food drives, collecting groceries so more families could share warm meals together.

As I grew older, those experiences became part of who I am. Giving back wasn’t just something my family did—it became something I pursued on my own. In college, I’ve continued that commitment by working directly with patients and local nonprofits to connect people with resources that can lower their medical bills. I see, up close, how finances can dictate the quality of care someone receives and whether they get the chance to heal at all.

That’s why I joined Texas 4000. Cancer is deeply personal to me—it has touched people in my family and people I love. I’ve seen how devastating it is, but also how powerful it can be to feel informed, supported, and not alone. I’m riding to bridge that gap—to spread knowledge, to help fund real, legitimate research and patient services, and to make sure more families have the resources and care they deserve.

Texas 4000 is a 4,000+ mile ride from Austin to Anchorage dedicated to fighting cancer through research, education, and community outreach. To be part of this mission, I’ve pledged to raise $7,500. Every dollar you give goes directly to programs that prevent cancer, support patients, and invest in breakthroughs that save lives.
