Hi! If you’re new here, my name is Nou and I am a running mama of one (toddler). I am passionate about running and moving my body for my mental health! I have been running for almost a year and a half and it has supported me in overcoming past traumas and continues to assist me in everyday challenges. Growing up, it was traditional for my parents to dismiss emotions and any kind of feelings - not because they wanted to, it’s just how they were brought up. Over the years, the childhood traumas built up and eventually, I became a teenager who didn’t know how to process my own emotions. My teenage years were the darkest parts of my life and I am lucky to be standing today. Had I had a support group like Erika’s Lighthouse, it would have been educational enough for me to seek help earlier.

Erika’s Lighthouse is a non-profit organization that believes that every student should have the knowledge and tools they need to care for their mental health.
