The Humane Society of broward found homes for almost 4,659 animals in 2024. Did you know they also provide:

1. They aided over 8,500 families with resources to ensure their pet stays at in their family instead of being surrendered to a shelter through a Surrender Prevention Program.

2. Once monthly a team meets with county homeless population that have pets providing vet care and food. 500 people were assisted.

3. Education programs:150,000 children and adults were reached through reading programs, kids & teen clubs, Girl scouts patch, camps and various adult & senior groups. All to expand awareness and foster healthy pet care through the generations.

4. Low cost spay and neutering and a clinic open to the public for vaccinations & microchiping.

5.  Coordinates with Broward County animal control to support adoptions and care.

For over 34 years, the Walk for the Animals has served as the Humane Society of Broward County's largest annual fundraiser. By donating to the Walk, you are helping thousands of animals that come through their doors each year. Every dollar supports them as they provide veterinary care, food, shelter and much much more to every animal they see.
