I wanted to join Team QCP last year to run the NYC Marathon in November. I was so excited and about to sign all the paperwork when I got sick. I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and was unable to run. Thankfully, I acquired an amazing team of doctors who helped me adjust and learn to live in my new body. I was so happy to start running again. Although running was much harder than before, I knew I could continue to do hard things. When I heard my job partnered with runDisney, I had to sign up! I’ve run 3 half marathons but this will be my first EVER marathon. I will be raising money for the individuals with disabilities I support. The donations will be extremely beneficial to their services. I want to thank everyone who donates for helping me make the lives of these individuals that much richer.
