I have participated in runDisney for years with my mom and she previously had run with Dragon Master Initiative. But in 2026 my girlfriend ran her second Dopey challenge with Dragon Master Initiative and took the time to introduce me to their mission and some of the amazing people she's met with this charity. She and her mom told me the story of their close family friend losing their 18 month old son to a brain tumor and I just absolutely felt for them.

I am blessed to be able to run, to be fit, healthy, active. Not everyone is, and cancer makes it even harder. I am so excited to be able to do something I love and be able to give back to a community that it will make a huge difference in!
