Like many events last year, our beloved Disney Princess Half Marathon weekend became a virtual event and for the first time in many years, we were unable to come together with our Rett family to run for our warriors. And y'all, it was lonely!

Thankfulky, this year offers a new opportunity to to raise the much needed funds for a cure... TOGETHER again! Please join Rylan and me once again as we run in support Girl Power 2 Cure in their efforts to raise funds for research for Rett Syndrome.

As you may know, Rett Syndrome is a debilitating neurological disorder that predominantly affects females but can also affect boys. It is the leading genetic cause of severe impairment in girls, brought on by a single gene mutation that leads to underproduction of an important brain protein. Caroline, my best friend's daughter, is a Rett warrior and our reason for continuing our commitment to GP2C every year. 

Today, there is no cure. But Rett Syndrome is CURABLE! Research has proven once protein levels are back to normal levels, symptoms subside. And so, we continue our battle.
