Easton is an 8 year old type one diabetic. He was diagnosed at 18 months old and we've come so far since then! Looking back, I remember when he was diagnosed, I thought his little life was already ruined at such a young age. I thought he wouldn't be able to do things other children do and that diabetes would hold him back. Here we are at age 8 and I was so wrong!! Easton has never let diabetes stop him. He loves soccer, high or low (usually low ?), he's on the field playing. He in first grade and does everything his classmates gets to do. 
 

Last year Easton attended his first diabetes camp. This was so important for us because he didn't know anyone else with diabetes and was having such a hard time understanding why he was the only kid that had to deal with these things. He met other kids just like him. Kids who had to count carbs and who had to use insulin. Kids who struggled with highs and lows. 

He is looking forward to going back to camp this year!! Camp fees are $400, anything extra can send him to extra day camps or will go towards a scholarship fund.
