Hi there! My name is Dan Koschik and I have worked in the Central Wisconsin manufacturing industry since 2006!
I am one of hundreds of volunteers that step into the classroom and teach Junior Achievement. As a board member I believe you need to be involved in the mission to understand the impact JA has on our youth.
There are countless stories of kids being positively impacted by the "career and life readiness" content offered by JA. Whether it be making responsible, long-term decisions related to personal finance, or decisions relating to post secondary training for a career path...there are innumerable ways JA and the program volunteers can impact our youth and help guide them to success.
I've always been enamored by the exuberance of young people, especially when they demonstrate interest in "what could be" for them after high school. I became involved in JA after my own kids began becoming more occupied with extracurricular pursuits and friendships. This left an opportunity for me to find a way to give back to the local community and take some ownership of impacting the next generation.
I firmly believe that it is a critical responsibility of community and business leaders to nurture and lead the next generation into the workplace and help them chart career paths that help our region prosper. Whether that path is through the workplace, entrepreneurship, trade or technical school, college or the military, a defined career path is a key element to the happiness and stability of our next generation and we need to help guide them on that journey!
