My family would like to invite you (humans only; all ages) to come walk one mile barefoot (yes, barefoot, on turf!) with us at Marshdale Park in Evergreen, Colorado* this Saturday, August 27th from 9 AM to 12 PM.  Registration is free (but donations are welcome).  Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed. I'm not sure exactly what to expect this year, but last year there was a silent auction, items made by trafficking victims available for purchase, a family-friendly short speech about JOY International by founder Dr. Jeff Brodsky (who has been completely barefoot for 12 years), and delicious free Mexican food.

JOY International is a global non-profit organization based in Conifer, Colorado.  JOY International is dedicated to the rescue, restoeation, and reintegration of children, teens, and young women affected by trafficking and the prevention of child trafficking worldwide (including the USA).  This has been one of our favorite charities for years, and we always try to attend the Barefoot Mile event to show our support and solidarity with impoverished and trafficked children. Thanks for changing the world with us!
