Join Breakthrough Twin Cities as we celebrate 20 years of impact in supporting students on their path to college, preparing the next generation of educators, and building a strong and supportive community.
This unforgettable evening will bring together the entire Breakthrough community to unite in celebration of 20 years, inspire one another with stories of success, and raise funds to ensure our program continues to thrive for years to come.
Since 2005, Breakthrough has mentored and walked alongside students through decorated hallways and intensive classes during summer programs, academic advising sessions, college application season, and celebrating high school graduation together. At the same time, hundreds of Teaching Fellows have stepped into Breakthrough classrooms, ready to create positive, inclusive classrooms and become role models and mentors for our students.
Breakthrough Twin Cities has served 1,648 students and 702 future educators. Because of our supportive community, we've been able to open doors to new possibilities for our students and Teaching Fellows and inspire the next generation of leaders and changemakers in the community.

Schedule
4:30 PM:Optional - Experience The Art of Community at MIA with a scavenger hunt
5:30 PM: Enjoy a reception including hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, photo-booth, and reminising BTC's 20 years through the BTC Gallery.
6:30 PM: Activities close and guests are seated for dinner and the program.
8:30 PM: Event concludes and guests depart.
Attire
The 20th Anniversary Bash is an upscale celebratory gala where most guests choose to dress up for a night out.
Auction and Activities
While you mingle with fellow alumni and education advocates and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, participate in photo ops, co-create a BTC mural, and find all the items in the scavenger hunt.
Silent Auction: Whether you’re a sports fan, a theatre buff, a foodie, or looking for a getaway experience, our silent auction has something for everyone! Bid on elite items and exceptional experiences through our online auction while supporting our Breakthrough community. The online auction is open for bidding and closes Thursday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m.
If participating in the auction only, you do not need to be present to win. Auction winners will be contacted after the event to arrange pick up or mailing of items.
Activities: We have fun activities to experience Breakthrough and the MIA, capture the evening, and reflect on 20 years. Gather your friends for fun photo booth pictures to capture the night and take home with you. Come early and view the amazing art at MIA with a scavenger hunt with prizes. Let your artistic abilities shine in helping co-create an original Breakthrough Twin Cities mural.
