Hello,
My name is Ferdy. I am the Chair of the 2019 Bowl-A-Thon. I act as a relationship manager for the Junior Achievement/Schwab partnership on the Schwab side, I am a strong advocate and champion of the mission that JA aims to uphold. I believe strongly in the power of early outreach. I see its impact directly with my Little Brother, Javier, who I have been paired with through Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Arizona. Junior Achievement is one of Schwab's National Non-Profit Partners.
The Bowl-A-Thon is another way that we help JA achieve their yearly mission. We also help them by leading two JA-In-A-Day events during our Schwab Volunteer Week (over 100 volunteers). Schwab also participates in the JA You're Hired Challenge, JA Finance Park, and the DECA Leadership Summit, in partnership with JA.
Schwab is also the title sponsor of the JA Student Stock Market Challenge.

Junior Achievement of Arizona serves over 80,000 students each year.
Junior Achievement of Arizona exists to teach these students about the importance of money management, workforce readiness and entrepreneurial thinking, and make the connection between classroom learning and the real world.
Schwab provides JA over 100 volunteers every May for the JA-In-A-Day events that we host during our Volunteer Week at Brinton School and Larry C. Kennedy School.
Schwab partners with JA on "JA You're Hired" every February by providing volunteers.
Schwab serves as the title sponsor of the Student Stock Market Challenge in October. We also provide volunteers to act as "Floor Brokers"
Schwab partners with JA on The "DECA" leadership conference in the fall months.
Junior Achievement is one of Schwab's National Non-Profit partners.
Junior Achievement of Arizona utilizes over 9,500 volunteers each year to deliver JA programs to students.
Junior Achievement of Arizona programs are provided at no cost to students in the classroom. JA must raise $36 per student.
Since its inception in 1957, Junior Achievement of Arizona has served more than 2 million students.
Receive a dollar for dollar AZ Tax Credit when you donate!
Junior Achievement is now a Qualifying Charitable Organization,which means any donation you make to us could qualify for a dollar-for-dollar charitable tax credit. This tax credit is money you as a taxpayer can subtract from taxes owed to the government. Depending on your tax situation, you could claim up to a $400 tax credit if you are filing as “single,” “head of household,” or “married filing separate” or up to $800 if you are “married filing joint”. Essentially, instead of paying those taxes to the government, you are making a donation to Junior Achievement to help more low-income students receive our valuable education. And, by making that donation, you will either owe less taxes or receive a bigger refund, depending on your tax situation.
