Bringing awareness to individuals on the autism spectrum has always been a passion of mine, and I have dedicated my life to empathizing, understanding, and accepting the unique ways in which we all express ourselves and relate to our surroundings. My youngest brother was diagnosed at a young age, and through his extraordinary sensitivity has taught me gentleness in tough situations, acceptance of my surroundings, and an appreciation for detail. He taught me how to empathize with mythological creatures regarded as monsters through his strong interest in mythology, and how to seek out the best video game walkthroughs.
I am extremely grateful to Fraser for the services they provide for the autistic community and their families, and their approach - not once have I felt they seek to change their clients, only teach them new ways to navigate an overwhelming world. I love, as providers, that we are encouraged to step into the worlds of our clients, and see things from their perspectives. This cause is dear to me as I continue the work I started at the age of 8 with one of my best friends, and unlikely teachers. Please consider donating as the date for the Walk for Autism approaches!
