Hearing the diagnosis of “autism” begins the journey to see and learn about life from a unique perspective. According to the Centers for Disease Control, 1 in 68 children have autism. Thousands of Minnesota families are faced with the challenges of navitaging an autism diagnosis each year.
Fortunately, evidence shows early intervention can result in dramatically positive outcomes. Given the right tools and support, those living with autism can make great strides at any point in their lives. As the largest and most experienced provider of autism services in Minnesota, Fraser can help those with autism and other special needs reach for a bright future.
This April, I will be raising support and awareness for Minnesota families affected by autism at the Fraser Walk for Autism. Your support will help provide life-changing services to thousands of Minnesota families.
My son is living proof that early intervention at Fraser helped him. While he still has Autism, he is functioning close to that of a neurotypical child. The only other thing we are working on outside of Fraser is his High functioning ADHD. He attended Fraser from two years old. This place was his second home and allowed him to be as electic as he wanted without judgement. Now he is about to only have one therapy once a week. This is something I NEVER expected to happen. He was at fraser five days a week for three years and now he is going down to one. Fraser staff helped make this far off dream for me come true. As well as my sons hard work. This will be my second year supporting Fraser at their yearly Autism walk. My son is very excited and he still remembers last years walk. Fraser is just one organization out of many but as I have seen first hand the amazing work done I choose to help them the best way I can. I reach out to all of you now.
